Biography

Daniela Danis is a psychologist and a psychotherapist. She has been head psychologist at the Addiction Treatment Unit at the Clinic La Métairie, in Nyon, Switzerland.

  • Founding member of the Association of Psychotherapists for the     Treatment of Addictions (APTA), in Geneva.

  •  Runs seminars for health professionals on Addiction and on Codependency.

  •  Author of many articles published in medical and psychological revues on Codependency and Addiction.

 At present, she has her private practice in Geneva and leads a family group at the Clinic La Métairie.

  • Has a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Geneva, where she worked as an Assistant to the chair of Educational Psychology;

  • Former consultant to the International Institute of Social Studies of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva, where she was in charge of research and teaching;

  • Former consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) and for the Ministry of Health of France;

  • Founding member of the Association of Psychotherapists for the Treatment of Addictions (APTA) in Geneva;

  • In charge of lectures on Codependency and Addiction in several institutions training health professionals;

  • Lectures in private enterprises on subjects, such as: Resilience, Retirement, the Challenges of combining parenthood and professional life, the dangers of Stress, etc.;

  • Provides psychological support during emergencies in enterprises due to critical incidents and/or unexpected events;

  • Author of several articles published in medical and psychological revues on Addiction and Codependency;

  • Author of the book: Addiction and codependency. Exercises to recover, available through Amazon.

  • Currently publishing: At the heart of codependency, also available in Amazon.

 Both her books are translated into Spanish and French.
